STUDENT: DIEGO DANIEL CASAS USCANGA
PROFESSOR: EDUARDO JAIR PERÉZ ALOR
COURSE PERIOD: FIFTH SEMESTER
INTRODUCTION:
This term will cover fundamental content to strengthen the use of English in real-life and academic communicative situations. Throughout this period, students will work with various grammatical structures—such as question tags, the second and third conditionals, and connectives of cause, effect, and purpose—so that they can confirm information, express unlikely possibilities, and describe outcomes of situations that did not occur. Furthermore, comprehension, oral and written production, and collaborative work will be fostered, integrating the use of information technologies. All of this will allow students to develop stronger communicative skills and a better understanding of ideas in a second language.
Purpose of the cut
At the end of the unit, the student will be able to apply the grammatical structures seen in the previous units, to confirm diverse information and express ideas about situations with very little possibility of happening or relate results of situations that never happened, all through the use of connectors.
EVIDENCES:

Learning question tags and Wh-questions has helped me understand how important they are for communicating better in English. With question tags, I can confirm information and show interest in a conversation, while Wh-questions allow me to get more specific and detailed information. Understanding these structures helps me express myself with more confidence and participate more naturally, because they allow me to ask, clarify, and be more active in any dialogue. I feel that mastering these topics is an important step in my language learning.

While working with tag questions in mixed tenses, I realized that it’s not just about adding a short question at the end, but about understanding the tense of the main sentence. This helped me pay more attention to the verbs and to identify whether the statement is affirmative or negative. At first it was a bit confusing, but little by little I understood that mixed-tense tag questions help me confirm information in a more natural way and speak with more confidence. I feel that mastering this topic really improves my communication in English and helps me think more precisely.
Self-Assessment
During this term, I focused on strengthening my learning through reading and practice. Thanks to this effort, I have gained more knowledge and improved my performance, which is reflected in a higher and more satisfying grade.
I rate myself 9.7, as I believe the remaining tenths correspond to instances where I did not adequately follow the teachers' instructions or fully understand their explanations.
Improvement Plan
This semester, I intend to continue developing my creativity, as I want my assignments to reflect that personal effort. Likewise, I will always prioritize responsibility and dedication to my studies to continue improving my academic performance.
